the beauty of patience

i was listening to a radio program the other day and it was talking bout how the chinese train in their marital arts.. for instance they would not teach the american student because they did not have the patience, and ill tell you why..

in sword practice, the chinese would practice the simple act of pulling their sword out of their sheath for 6 months, then move to the next step..
and this is coming from an american who lived there.. they stated that they did not have the patience to do this, therefore they would not teach.. but also he said that when he watched the fully trained masters of their art, it was like poetry or beauty in motion., i can only imagine if i would practice a certain airbrush movement for six months, or take six months to paint a picture..

i know it is a long time but i guess their is a beauty that comes with patience, a mastery,, almost like poetry in motion...

i guess what i am trying to say, that everything that is beautiful should take time, and we and i should take the time to respect the craft that we so much admire and love..

all good things come to thoes who wait....i think i am on that threshold and i am ready to give the beauty of art the time it needs to grow inside of me so that i can truely express the what is in my minds eye
