Lose Weight Quickly and Safely

Our society loves quick fixes. Fix a flat tire with an aerosol can, instant popcorn, microwavable meals… Heck, if you’re tired of your job just play the lottery! Who knows, you might get lucky, right? Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you cannot lose weight safely overnight. You heard it here first, folks! It actually takes work to lose weight. While it will take time, it doesn’t mean that your weight loss has to take forever. First, you need to consume water. No, Diet Coke does not count as drinking water. Additionally, Gatorade or Vitamin Water, although they say they are as good as water, are not even close to it. Will you need to go to the restroom more than usual? Yes, but that’s actually a great sign. If you suffer from regular headaches, it’s possible that you’re dehydrated. Start consuming water regularly – in between meals, at meals, and when you exercise to help contribute to a better metabolism as well. Eating vegetables is a major part of a balanced diet. Are you hungry in between meals? Instead of reaching for the potato chips, why not reach for some carrot sticks? How about trying celery with some almond butter? Try different alternatives to what you’ve been used to, and see the difference it makes.
Add in some lean meats to your daily diet, as well. Fish, chicken, turkey, and elk are very lean meats that are packed with protein. If you’re exercising, protein is going to help you recover from your workouts. Having a well-balanced diet with these proteins and vegetables will help keep you away from the junk food and will keep away the late-night Taco Bell cravings. This doesn’t mean that you can’t splurge every once in a while. Having sweets and desserts are fun every once in a while… Not daily.
Lastly, you must mix in exercise with the right supplements. If you want to lose weight quickly (but safely) you need to exercise regularly. By regularly, three times a week is a great way to start.
